Wow! Wow! Wow! This was the first time I’ve tried Polish food and boy i’m impressed. With an Armenian/middle Eastern background I thought that cabbage stuffed mixed ground meat was an Armenian/ Greek food. This and the breaded cutlet pork which were the server/owner’s recommendation were an absolute delight.
The portions were above average BIG that we had to bag them home especially after I saw the table besides us order “A Must Have” their signature desert made with sour cherry crepe flambé that was heavenly good that I shared with my wife.
I must add that we were treated like royalty (king and Queen) from the beginning to the end class act.
P.S I’m not much of a critique Yelp-er or what not but I had to share my very positive experience on this…I must admit that when I read one of the reviews on another review website (http://losangeles.menupages.com/restaurants/polka-polish-restaurant/) I almost didn’t make it to this place because of a poor review of another critique that had an unpleasant experience which I think it’s ridiculous now of course!!!
Just returned from a 135 mile round trip from Santa Paula to enjoy lunch at this great find! Well worth the drive for the excellent food and service. This will become a regular for the wife and I.
